1. In brief
Songive is a service that creates a personalised song based on a short description that you write. To make this work, we need your email address, the description you provide, and payment information. We do not sell your data. We use marketing-measurement cookies (such as Meta Pixel) to evaluate our advertising — see section 6 for details. The Service is intended only for people over 18 years old. 2. What data we collect
2.1. Data you provide to us
- Order description. The recipient’s name, the occasion, your relationship, a short story, mood, language – everything the model needs to write a song about a specific person.
- Email. To send you the link to the song and the receipt.
- Sender’s name. If you want it to appear on the gift page.
- Consents. The fact that you accepted this Policy and the Terms of Use, with the date recorded.
2.2. Payment data
Payments are processed by our payment partner. The full card number, CVV and expiry date are sent directly to them and are never stored on our servers. We receive only metadata: transaction ID, the last 4 digits of the card, payment status, and card issuer country.
2.3. Data collected automatically
- IP address – to protect against fraud and abuse;
- device type, browser, language – to display the site correctly;
- visit logs – to diagnose errors and improve the service.

The lyrics, audio and gift page created for you.
3. Why we use this data

We use marketing-measurement cookies (Meta Pixel) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Only anonymous browsing and conversion data is shared with the advertising provider — never the song description, recipient name, your email, or payment data.
4. Who we share data with
For the Service to work, we need third-party service providers. We share only the minimum data each of them needs for their task.

Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement with us and must use the data only for the agreed task.
We may also disclose data:
- where required by law, a court or a regulator;
- to protect our rights and prevent fraud;
- in the event of a possible reorganisation or sale of the business – with notice to affected users.
We do not sell your personal data. We share anonymous browsing and conversion data with advertising-measurement providers to evaluate our ad spend — never your email, name, payment information, or the song description.
5. Transfers of data outside your country
Some of our service providers are located outside the United Kingdom and the EU (for example, in the United States). These transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses (Standard Contractual Clauses) and the UK Addendum, as required by UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
6. Cookies
We use two categories of cookies:
- Necessary cookies — session cookies, CSRF protection, and selected language. Without them, the site cannot work correctly.
- Marketing and measurement cookies — Meta Pixel, used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. These do not affect site functionality. You can opt out by using your browser's tracking-protection feature or by installing a content blocker.
7. How long we keep data

If you ask us to delete data earlier, we will do so, except for information we are required to keep by law.
8. Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the EU, you have rights under UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- to access the data we hold about you;
- to correct inaccurate data;
- to delete data (“the right to be forgotten”) if it is no longer needed for the contract or by law;
- to restrict processing;
- to object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- to receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format (portability);
- to withdraw consent, if the processing is based on consent;
- to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country (in the United Kingdom this is the ICO).
To exercise your rights, write to privacy@songive.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access to data within the team, and regular security updates. However, no internet service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the regulator within the time limits set by law.
10. 18+ only
The Service is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data about minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided us with data without your consent, write to privacy@songive.com, and we will delete it.
A song may be dedicated to a child (for example, for a birthday), but the order must be placed by an adult.
11. Automated moderation
Before generating the song, we automatically check the description for prohibited content (see section 6 of the Terms). If the automated system rejects your order, you may ask for a manual review by writing to privacy@songive.com.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will publish significant changes on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you by email.
